Our Mission
Ishwar Charitable Trust was established in 1982 with the aim of providing
charitable health services to the poor by the establishment of an eye hospital or a
similar facility. Consequently ICARE Eye Hospital was founded in 1983 which
commenced functioning from the residence-cum-clinic of Dr. Sushil Choudhry,
the Founder President, at Panchsheel Park.
The ICARE Eye Hospital was relocated at E-3A, Sector-26, Noida in 1993. Land
measuring 1 acre was purchased by Ishwar Eye Institute, a society formed by
Ishwar Charitable Trust, from funds collected through charity. The
accommodation was built with the help of HelpAge India and Help the Aged,
U.K. and equipped with donations from national and international philanthropic
agencies. Commencing its activities with humble beginnings, the hospital has
achieved a phenomenal growth in the past decade. The hospital is now engaged
in preventive, diagnostic and curative fields of ophthalmology serving all sections
of society, with emphasis on delivering geriatric services at the doorstep of rural
areas.
Presently the hospital has 100 beds and is equipped with the entire range of stateof-
the-art diagnostic, curative and surgical equipment manned by a highly
qualified, skilled, competent and motivated medical, para-medical and support
staff providing comprehensive diagnosis, treatment and surgical services covering
the entire range of ocular sub-specialities comparable to international standards.
