Modern, quality ophthalmic care is provided to one and all - the poor and the needy, the aged and the young. As part of its educational activities, its most noteworthy achievement has been accreditation to the National Board of Examination for conducting DNB courses which are post graduate courses of two and three years akin to MS/MD and the World Bank aided training programme for IOL implant cataract surgery course. A unique achievement has been the completion of 10,000 surgeries in the year 2001-2002 thus restoring eyesight to 10,000 visually handicapped people. Patients screened and identified for cataract surgery at the Rural OPDs, are brought to the base hospital at Noida in our ambulances. Their stay at the hospital includes food, medicines, cataract surgery with IOL implant and other ocular surgeries & transportation back to their home villages.
