Inspired by his mother’s ideals, he had the vision of a free eye clinic for the poor he would bring slum patients to his house in his car. They would stay in the outhouse, and food from the house would be provided to them

He would operate upon them in his small clinic & OT at home, and discharge them the next day and drop them back in his car

…And thus was born a movement called ICARE

1987-1990

Music maestros Amjad Ali Khan/ Lalgudi Jayaraman do a concert to raise funds for buying land for ICARE

… Ishwar Charitable Trust is formed

1993 - Hospital Operational

Hospital Ground Floor constructed with individual donations & Help the Aged UK

… The hospital becomes operational

1993-2007

1st floor added with Institutional Donations ( HelpAge India)

Kitchen & Dining Block gets functional (British High Commission & Hindustan Petroleum)

2nd floor OT and Training wing construction – Standard Chartered/ HelpAge India
