Dr. Aparna Rao has joined ICARE Eye Hospital & PG Institute as Senior Consultant – Glaucoma Services on 14th July 2025. She brings with her extensive experience in glaucoma care, research, and teaching, making her a valuable addition to our team.
Dr. Rao completed her Diploma in Ophthalmology from Guru Nanak Eye Institute, Delhi (2003) and her DNB in Ophthalmology from ICARE Eye Hospital & PG Institute, Noida (2006). She further pursued a Research Associate Fellowship in Adult Glaucoma at AIIMS Delhi (2010) under an ICMR-funded grant, and went on to earn her Ph.D. from KSBT, Bhubaneswar (2018).

From 2011 to 2025, she was part of the faculty at L V Prasad Eye Institute, Bhubaneswar, where she played a pivotal role in advancing glaucoma services and mentoring young clinicians.
